The podcast for illustrators, by illustrators (now there's a niche!). We're trying to figure out how to get better and be happier, by any means necessary. Dignity optional. Season 2 coming Fall 2022: Subscribe!

Tommy Arnold

Tommy is an award-winning illustrator of science-fiction and fantasy from Atlanta, GA.

As a pioneering educator of illustrators he doesn’t believe in talent and has spent a lot of time exploring the mental landscapes that artists inhabit while they draw and paint, in order to better understand what’s possible and pass it on. He shares what he finds through Patreon, articles on Muddy Colors, and episodes of the illustration podcast Black White Grey!.

His work has been featured in Communication Arts, American Illustration, at the Society of Illustrators, and on the cover of Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art.

Micah Epstein

Micah Epstein is an illustrator working in fantasy and science fiction. After a childhood spent watching too many cartoons and reading too many comics, it's unsurprising that drawing is the way he can most meaningfully interface with the stories, worlds, and subjects that he loves. Balancing a methodical & scientific approach to illustration with that same energy and joy he felt as a kid, Micah's work explores feelings of mystery, stoicism, and majesty in its subjects.

Selected clients include: Tor Books, Orbit Books, Saga Press, DAW Books, Bloomsbury, Dark Horse Comics, Wizards of the Coast, and authors including Brandon Sanderson and George R.R. Martin.
